Knowledge in RAC/ASM, Grid Control Management, Linux, BMC SQL BackTrack are a plus.

| UNIX Admin (Solaris & Linux): Experience in providing escalation support of the global production and development environments whilst working shift, monitoring chat requests and ticket queues. Level 3 Incident management of issues impacting the UNIX (Solaris and Linux) environments; including HW and SW related issues. Specialist knowledge of some or all of the following products:
Oracle Solaris 8 / 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, VERITAS Product Suite: File system, Volume Manager, Cluster Server, Netbackup. Solaris Disk Suite, Solaris SPARC/X86 HW, HP DL Hardware, SAN/NAS Storage Products.
UNIX –Security: Very strong UNIX skills (Solaris and Linux). Strong scripter, with a focus on scripting for automation and end-user web interfaces. Perl and shell are desired, alternatives negotiable. Extensive background managing Kerberos for authentication as well as NIS, DNS and LDAP for identification.
Privilege escalation using Power Broker and secure password storage using Power Keeper are a plus. In-depth understanding of UNIX infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment and its management. Some background in Middleware and Java technologies is a plus. |
