Survival In IT companies

There are 2 ways of surviving in an IT company.

 1.  HARD WORK; be honest, frank and work hard, be answerable to yourself. This is very difficult but helps long run. YOU will have your self respect and people will respect you from bottom of their heart.

 2. SMART WORK; This is the easiest way of surviving in IT companies; below are some examples;
    - Be gentle and always take the side of manager.
    - NOd head to manager always and dont forget to say, you are the best manager.
    - NEver say no to manager
    - Keep in hand some critical things of the project and never share with your colleagues.
    - Pitch in to the field and give solutions only when managers/high level people are in to it.
    - Work hard and extend beyond office hours in the last month or when our contract is in danger or during your appraisal
     - Even though we have work or not, reach office before manager and  leave office after manager.
     - Show everyone that you are busy. Always carry your book or Laptop, whenever you are getting out of seat. this shows people that you are going for a meeting and is very busy, hardworking.


SMART WORK worked many times, gives results very fast. But there wont be self respect and we cannot expect respect from others. You will be chosen only in a worst case, you end up making no friends in group of colleagues.

This is purely based on my self experience with different races and kind of people around the world. This may be different based on the companies as well.
