Position: SAP Basis Consultant / Sr Basis Consultant
Experience: 5-12 years

Education
Graduate in Engineering / Computer science / Information systems/ Computer applications
Experience :
6 to 8 years’ experience in administering SAP Applications - ABAP/JAVA Stack administration (SAP Business Suite, SAP Basis, SAP Solution Manager, Portal, PI, Netweaver etc.,) along with at least two full cycle implementation
Should have played the role of Technical Lead managing at least one end to end project (Upgrades, Implementation etc.,)
Experience in managing a team of Basis consultants working in multiple geographic locations (offshore-onsite / Global Delivery model), planning /delegation of tasks
Technical Skills
SAP Basis and Security – Strong Knowledge and Hands on experience on Technical Planning , Installations, Upgrades, OS/DB Migrations, Unicode Conversions
Technically fluent in Operating System (Unix/Windows/Linux), Database (Oracle/DB2/SQL Server/MaxDB ) administration
Knowledge/Experience in performance tuning, User Management, System copies, Unicode Conversions
Ability to troubleshoot/analyze and resolve technical problems
Ability to work on activities involved in Plan areas ( Sizing, Scoping , Client/Landscape Strategy, High Availability/Disaster Recovery Strategy etc,) of Implementation projects and have played the role of a Technical Architect/Design
Exposure to Pre-sales, Bid Management and or People Management is preferred
Soft Skills
Proficient in English
Strong customer and Quality focus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Proactive in learning and highly self motivated
Ability to handle multiple project in an ambidextrous way
Understanding and adherence of Project management & Quality Assurance Methodologies
Good Team player and ability to lead a team on Projects
Expectations
Flexibility to travel is a must
Should be able to instruct technical classes as needed
Ability to play the role of a technical lead on projects (technical upgrades/Implementations etc.,)
Ability to maintain high degree of knowledge/understanding variety of SAP Technologies and application of the same
Ability to perform assigned tasks independently and complete deliverables on time
Certification in SAP Basis is preferred (if not should be able to complete the certification within 3 months if hired)
