Dear Candidate,

We have an excellent opening for you with one of our OEM client based at Chennai.
Company is looking for Section Head-Position

Level/Position : Section Head-Position
Reporting to : Department Head
Qualification : Graduate with MBA (regular) in any discipline.
However MBA in Foreign Trade preferred.
Experience : 10 plus years
Job Location : Chennai

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To manage the overall activities of Import, Export Sections.
2. Managing the import and export operations keeping compliance with custom laws, notifications, tariffs, EXIM policy, RBI rules for import.
3. Coordinating with Custom House Agents, C&F Agents and other external agencies for ensuring timely clearances and cost effective transport solutions.
4. Monitoring and analyzing the performance of processing and packing units, transporters, pertaining to cost, and quality and delivery norms.
5. Sustained monitoring of import consignments to ensure timely clearance including obtaining EPCG licenses and their redemption.
6. Ensure timely clearance of exports including realisation of Duty drawback and obtaining GSP certificate.
7. Liasoning work with Customs, Central Excise, DGFT/JDGFT, EIS and other Government authorities.
8. Experience in preparing representations to the Government.
9. Reporting to Group Head Procurement Division.

Skill/ knowledge:

1. Candidates working in organizations dealing in import of sheet metal or cold rolled steel preferred.
2. Conversant with Customs Rules and clearance formalities.
3. Excellent liasoning skills, leadership skills.
4. Presentation skills.
